Willa & Miss Caitlin

On Saturday, Bryan and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Willa's teacher (Miss Caitlin) came over to babysit her. Willa has 2 teachers at school and Miss Caitlin is by far her favorite...Words can't describe how excited Willa was for her to come to our house and babysit her...It might as well have been the President of the U.S. coming over.  She talked about it nonstop ALL week.

Easter Festivities

Willa's friend Leo had us over to color Easter eggs. His Grandma was in town from Chicago and made everyone lunch and colored eggs and decorated cupcakes with the kids.

Friday evening we had a picnic in the park with Beckett & Charlotte's families. Each family brought 20 plastic eggs for an egg hunt. 

The girls had a blast finding the eggs and seeing what was inside of each one.

After church we went to our friends house (Leah, Chris, Ave & Elodie) for brunch

After brunch, Aunt Patti came over and we went to our friends Sara & Greg's house for a big Easter Dinner. We forgot to take pictures...but it was really fun. 

Roadtrips

We were very brave last week and took 2 separate road trips with Willa. On Monday we drove to Las Vegas to see our dear friend, Barbara, and for Bryan to attend the NAB show (camera/film stuff). The drive ended up being pretty painless, and it was so good to see Barbara, who moved to Henderson, NV a few months ago. 

While Bryan was at his convention, Babs and I took Willa to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay then had a nice lunch.

We were sad to say goodbye to Barbara, but inspired to visit her more often! Willa cried for the first portion of the drive home saying "I miss Barbara and Abby (Barb's Golden Retriever)! I want to go back to Las Vegas!")

Friday Morning we left at 4:00 a.m. for Lake Tahoe for a wedding. We left early so that Willa would sleep the first couple of hours of the drive. 

We took the scenic route and it was a really beautiful drive there. 

We stopped in Mammoth to see some snow and grab lunch. 

We fell in LOVE with Lake Tahoe. It is such a beautiful and relaxing place.

Daddy's Home!

After working in NYC for 5 weeks, daddy returned last Saturday! As you can imagine, Willa is extremely happy he is back.

Pasadena Farmer's Market

Almost every day that Bryan was gone, Willa would say "I really want daddy to take me fishing when he gets home." Yesterday, he took her to a fishing pond in Malibu and they caught 3 trout.

Grocery shopping. We can walk down the street to Ralph's if we only need a couple of things. Eddie went in the wagon with Willa...and we actually didn't get kicked out :)

We've made a bad habit of walking down the street to Rite Aid, where there is an ice cream counter. 

LA Zoo

Lately when she is on the swings she keeps yelling, "Higher, Higher!!!"...Even when she possibly can't go any higher.
