The Willa Bean and Family in Wine Country

As always, we had the best time in Santa Barbara wine country! We went to celebrate daddy's 30th birthday, and it was so much fun. It was Willa's first time visiting the area, unless you count the times while she was in my belly during early pregnancy (unknowingly...oops!).

Outside of Carhartt Tasting Room in Los Olivos...It is one of our favorites.

Eddie waiting patiently while we were wine tasting,

We couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day...72 degrees and sunny.

Eddie met a new buddy.

One of our new favorite tasting rooms, "Artiste". The wine was delicious, and you can paint while you are there. How cool is that?

Our masterpiece...We took turns painting and this is how it turned out (yikes...).

Our hotel room in Solvang...the Hadsten House.

Too many tasting rooms for Willa ;)

Happy Birthday Daddy! Love, Willa

These are a couple of my favorite recent pictures of Bryan and Willa.

Yesterday was Bryan's 30th birthday, and it was a great day! First we went to a birthday brunch at Cecconi's with friends.

Later, we headed downtown to Roy's for some birthday dinner. We had a gift card, and Bryan was craving sushi. It was so good! His real birthday celebration will be when we drive up to wine country on Wednesday for an overnight family trip...Willa's first trip to our favorite place!

When we got home, we gave her some mashed up avocado for the first time. She loved it, although half of it ended up on her face, hands, clothes and bumbo chair.  :)

6 Months Old

Happy 1/2 year birthday to Willa!

During this "6 month" photo shoot, I noticed that I had to keep the sheet of paper far away from her. She kept trying to grab it...and destroy it. The second she got a hold of it, she ripped it, crumpled it up, and tried to eat it.

If anyone has some documents that need to be destroyed, and you don't own a paper shredder...just send them on over.

Things about Willa at 6 Months Old

1.) She is still the happiest little girl.
2.) She is always smiling, and she's laughing more and more.
3.) She loves seeing photos of herself and people she knows. She immediately reacts (smiles and makes excited noises).
4.) We've learned that she is very ticklish.
5.) She grabs anything and everything that is within her reach.
6.) She is sitting up like a pro. I surround her with toys and she is content sitting up and playing with them for a long time.
7.) She loves pulling on Eddie's tail and mustache. So far he has been a good sport about it.
8.) At this point, she is not eating solids. We had started her on rice cereal, but that constipated her. We then started giving her oatmeal and that gave her THE worst gas...the kind that could clear out a room. She will be starting fruits and veggies this week.
9.) She loves seeing other babies. We have been going to "baby time" at the library, and she gets SO excited to see the other babies.
10.) She continues to wake up a lot in the middle of the night.
11.) She is very social and loves having family and friends visit.
12.) She is liking car rides and being in the stroller again (thank God...she went through a phase where she didn't).
13.) Ever since being able to sit up, she no longer likes "tummy time". She immediately starts whining and wants to flip over and be upright.
14.) She loves playing "peek-a-boo".
15.) She is very talkative, and her favorite syllables are "bahbahbahbah".
16.) She has started making this high pitched squeaking noise. It is very cute.
17.) She continues to get cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter. Every day!
