Baby-Q

This past weekend, we had some friends over for a potluck barbecue. We haven't seen some of them since having Willa, and another of the couples recently had a baby boy, Ashby. Everyone came over to eat dinner and see the babies for the first time, hence "baby-q".

Daddy and Willa before everyone came over.

Dressed and ready to go...

Willa and the handsome, Ashby...Ashby loved Willa's pink "party chair".

Willa was doing a good job sharing with him, but you could tell she was thinking "Who is this in my chair?"

She kept grabbing him...

A few miscellaneous shots from the past couple of days...

Library baby time! More new friends...

Willa watching "Baby Signing Time". She loves it! She gets so excited every time I put the DVD in. Thanks Aunt Shannon for recommending this! I can't wait for her to be able to do baby sign language with us.

Buddies

Willa with Matty and Reilly (my friend Colleen's 11-1/2 month old twins) at Douglas Park

Willa kept pulling out Reilly's hair bow, and Reilly kept stealing Willa's monkey pacifier.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful dad's! I am so proud of Bryan for being such an amazing father! Willa is definitely a Daddy's girl.

Love this photo of them...

Daddy and Willa at the new "Market" at Santa Monica Place. Very cool place for food lovers!

Us at "the Market"

Last night we went to friend's house for dinner. They have a little girl (Ave) who is 2 days older than Willa. It was so cute to watch the girls interact. We all had a great night!

Happy Father's Day, Dad! Thanks for always making me feel so loved, for always making me laugh, and for being the most incredible dad. I love you!

7 Months Old

Wow, time is flying! I can't believe it has already been 7 months.

Things about Willa at 7 Months Old

1.) She is super interested in everything around her. Anything within her reach, she will grab and explore.
2.) She can stand fully on her feet when I hold her hands for balance.
3.) She has been sitting in her high chair and eating some finger foods (puffs, peas, and cut up sweet potato).
4.) She is very content sitting on the floor surrounded by toys. As long as she has things around her, she is happy and self-occupied.
5.) She started saying "Dada" while Bryan was in Egypt. She hasn't really been saying it much now that he is back though.
6.) She is laughing more and more (see video from today...).
7.) She started making this "squinty eyed" face when she is frustrated.
8.) She has discovered that she can scream. Sometimes she lets out a loud, shrill scream. It doesn't necessarily mean that she's upset.
9.) She loves swimming in the pool. She is not afraid of water at all and doesn't mind that it is cold when she first gets in.
10.) While at Nana and Grumpy's house in SC, she loved riding in their golf cart. Sometimes it would relax her and put her to sleep.
11.) She has started reaching out her arms if she wants one of us to pick her up.
12.) She makes this awesome "motor boat" noise with her mouth where her lips vibrate together.
13.) If you stick your tongue out at her, she thinks it is funny and will imitate you.
14.) She is not crawling yet, but she seems ready. I am guessing it will be sometime this month.
15.) She continues to be the happiest, sweetest, cutest, smartest, funniest, and most wonderful baby! Ok, maybe I'm a little biased. :)

Last Batch of Charleston Photos

Daddy and Willa the morning he came home from Egypt. Look at his "beard".

Grandma came to Charleston for the weekend. It was so awesome having her there!

We went out to dinner one night, and Willa was sitting in her high chair making these funny "motor boat" noises.

Willa and Opa- We had another great lunch at Bishop Gadsden.

Ray Charles hiding under his bed cushion :)

Instead of flying out of Charleston, we decided to rent a mini-van and drive to Atlanta to spend some time with Aunt Tori. The road trip went well, and it was fun to see Tori! We then flew from Atlanta to LAX...

Back in LA...bittersweet. Good to be home, but missing everyone in SC.
