Grandma & Nana Visits

This past week, we were especially lucky because both Grandma...then Nana came to visit! We had great times with both.

Grandma, Willa & Daddy after Willa's end of VBS (vacation bible school) party.

We drove down to Terranea the day after Nana arrived for lunch on the ocean.

Willa put on my hat and sunglasses and said "I'm Kristen".

Willa and Aunt Patti watching a huge school of dolphins swim by.

Nana and Willa at Manhattan Beach. They both got soaked by waves...and poor Nana was wearing white pants.

Play date at Beckett's house.

Disneyland...Not only did Nana and Grandma visit, but my dear friend, Maureen and her family were in town for a week (staying in Manhattan Beach). We got to see them several times, and Willa really loves playing with her kids.

This photo was taken as the Pirates of the Caribbean ride shut down while we were in a dark cave. As if the ride isn't scary enough...we were stuck for about 20 minutes. Willa handled it very bravely.

Willa and Ryan were 2 peas in a pod. We are excited to get to Cleveland so they can have lots of play dates.

Willa received a package in the mail from Aunt Tori with the cutest swimsuit (complete with swim cap). :)

The Start of Summer

Willa's Ballet Recital

Willa and Daddy at her last day of school chapel ceremony

Last day of school pizza party

Bowling for the first time :)

Reptile event at the library near us. Willa was the first kid to volunteer to hold one of the animals. I think the guy was scared she was going to drop him!

Daddy as "special reader" in Willa's class. She picked out one of her books ("Boxes for Billy"- a book written by one of Bryan's friends) for him to read.

We've been doing lots of swimming!

The end of school "Frozen" themed party. They actually brought snow in for the kids to play with.

Play date with her buddy, Avery

Bugs

One of the thousand things we love about Willa's preschool is that we get lots of update emails/photos from her teachers. Below is one we received yesterday...She is definitely going through a bug phase! She always wants to find them outside and keep them as pets.

Hi Bryan and Kristen,

What a fun year we have had as Youngest Avocados! Willa seems to really be enjoying her time at school. Recently, she has shown a special interest in bugs. We had bugs in our sensory table last week and she seemed excited to show them to her friends and teachers. I have attached a picture for you to enjoy!

Warm regards,
Miss Caitlin and Miss Jessica

Strawberry Picking

Bryan and Willa met up with friends yesterday to strawberry pick at Underwood Farms (I was working so couldn't join). Charlotte's mom, Lauren is a photographer and sent these wonderful photos.
