Bugs

One of the thousand things we love about Willa's preschool is that we get lots of update emails/photos from her teachers. Below is one we received yesterday...She is definitely going through a bug phase! She always wants to find them outside and keep them as pets. 

Hi Bryan and Kristen,

What a fun year we have had as Youngest Avocados! Willa seems to really be enjoying her time at school. Recently, she has shown a special interest in bugs. We had bugs in our sensory table last week and she seemed excited to show them to her friends and teachers. I have attached a picture for you to enjoy!

Bryan and Willa met up with friends yesterday to strawberry pick at Underwood Farms (I was working so couldn't join). Charlotte's mom, Lauren is a photographer and sent these wonderful photos.

Daddy took Willa to the paddle boats in Silverlake.

Disneyland with the Tallaricos and Kangs. We all have season passes (thank you Grandma and Papa!) so we took the kids on Wednesday after school. It was fun, but it hit 100 degrees!

Willa's preschool hosted a Mommy's Day last week where we got to go to school with the kids. It was so much fun and lots of special activities were planned. They gave us "around the world" passports and each classroom was set up with a different craft/activity inspired from different countries.

Yesterday we took a morning hike before it hit 100 degrees. It has been SO hot here!

Willa & Miss Caitlin

On Saturday, Bryan and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Willa's teacher (Miss Caitlin) came over to babysit her. Willa has 2 teachers at school and Miss Caitlin is by far her favorite...Words can't describe how excited Willa was for her to come to our house and babysit her...It might as well have been the President of the U.S. coming over.  She talked about it nonstop ALL week.

Easter Festivities

Willa's friend Leo had us over to color Easter eggs. His Grandma was in town from Chicago and made everyone lunch and colored eggs and decorated cupcakes with the kids.

Friday evening we had a picnic in the park with Beckett & Charlotte's families. Each family brought 20 plastic eggs for an egg hunt. 

The girls had a blast finding the eggs and seeing what was inside of each one.

After church we went to our friends house (Leah, Chris, Ave & Elodie) for brunch

Ave was Willa's first friend and they still love seeing each other :)

After brunch, Aunt Patti came over and we went to our friends Sara & Greg's house for a big Easter Dinner. We forgot to take pictures...but it was really fun.
