Fun with Willa

First of all, this little lady is officially potty trained! She made it easy on us as it only took 1 day. She had a couple of accidents the first day, but hasn't had any since. YAY!

The petting zoo at the LA zoo. She loves brushing (and kissing) the goats.

Mommy and Willa went to Menchie's to celebrate her potty training success. She insisted on dressing as a princess for our little ice cream date.

Our play date with neighbors who have a baby. Willa always wants to hold her and help her nanny give her a bottle.

Enjoying the good weather out by our pool. Willa always wants to dip her feet in. The pool is still too cold to swim in.

This past weekend we went to a potluck that our friends organized at Lake Balboa Park.

It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day. My friend Lauren (Charlotte's mom) is a photographer and took a bunch of really good photos from this event.

Willa got her face painted as a cat. I've never seen her sit so still in her life.

Easter Weekend

We had a fun and eventful Easter weekend. On Saturday, we met friends at the Calabasas Easter Egg Hunt.

There was an egg hunt, a petting zoo, the Easter Bunny was there, and there were other fun activities. Willa would not sit on the Easter Bunny's lap (she kept saying she was scared)...but she was definitely intrigued by him and kept wanting to go look at him.

This photo is titled "Say No to Crack"

These crazy guys were part of the petting zoo

Saturday evening, Aunt Patti came over and we colored Easter eggs!

The Easter Bunny came and hid the eggs, and left easter baskets full of candy and gifts. He even left a trail of cotton balls leading from her bedroom to one of the baskets that was hidden in her tent (Patti's cute idea).

Willa had so much fun finding the eggs and kept talking about how much she loved the Easter bunny.

Sunday morning we went to an Easter Service at the Hollywood Bowl. It was really cool! The music was beautiful and there were a ton of people there.

Willa was a really good girl during the service. They had handed out kids packs with crayons, stickers, stamps, and lollipops which kept her busy and happy.

Sunday evening we hosted an Easter dinner potluck- Our friends Greg and Sara came over with Sara's sister, brother-in-law and 2 year old niece who were visiting from Minnesota. It was a fun night, and we forgot to take pictures. Willa had a great time playing with Amara (the 2 year old niece).

We hope everyone else had a great Easter too!

First Time at the Movie Theater

Yesterday we took Willa to a movie theater for the first time to see "The Croods". Bryan has been excited for this day for a long time!

She's got the tickets

We weren't sure if she'd make it through the whole movie. We thought she may get restless and want to go home, but she LOVED it. She watched the entire movie, only getting up to run up and down the aisle for about 10 minutes. It was definitely a success.

Charleston

We went down to Charleston this past week to go to Opa's funeral. It was a nice celebration of an incredible man's life, and it was good to be with family in SC.

I took this picture to send Aunt Julie, as the coat Willa was wearing was a hand-me-down from Katie and Alexis. I later noticed that the dogs had photo-bombed the picture.

These 3 little ladies had an absolute blast together. They were in the bath for about an hour and belly laughed the entire time.

Willa took a nap on the couch one day and Ray Ray jumped up on her and slept on top of her. She didn't even flinch :)

Willa and Pawley. This poor dog let Willa do whatever she wanted to him including laying on top of him, riding him, putting hats on him, etc.

Road Trip in the Minivan

This past weekend we took a road trip with another family (the Greavu's) to wine country. It was a very ambitious trip as there were 4 adults, 2 two year olds, 1 four month old baby, and 2 little white dogs...all traveling in one minivan. We made a stop at the Santa Barbara Zoo, then continued north to the Santa Ynez Valley, where we rented a house. It ended up being such a great weekend!
