Family Hike

We discovered that there are beautiful hiking trails only a few minutes drive from our new house. Yesterday was a gorgeous day, so we decided to go for a hike. 

The trails are even dog friendly (a lot of trails in LA are not...), so Eddie was happy as a clam. 

We found this nice grassy area that Willa could run around in. She loved going up the rocky little hill and then running back down. Here are some videos...mostly to just show the beauty of the area (and the cuteness of Willa bean).

Poppy just emailed these photos, so I thought I'd add them to the blog. 

Willa loved going to Home Depot and riding on things that she probably shouldn't be riding on...Anything to keep a 16 month baby happy in Home Depot for what seemed like hours!

The "Mimi" lady. Willa calls her binkies with animals attached, "Mimi's". Poppy had bought her several new ones...She loves having one in her mouth and one in each hand. 

We moved!

 Sorry about the lack of blog posts...the past couple of weeks have been crazy as we have moved! We made a spontaneous decision to move from Santa Monica to Encino, where we have rented a house with a yard, garage, and pool. We will miss Santa Monica, but will be very happy in our new home. Nana, Grandma and Poppy all came out to help (back to back to back visits)...and honestly we couldn't have done it without them. Throughout all of their visits, we were so busy that we forgot to take photos of Willa with her wonderful grandparents. She LOVED having each one of them visit and so did we. Thanks a million guys!!!

When Grandma was in town, she took us to Benihana for dinner. One of Willa's nicknames is "Mrs. Benihana" (not even sure how this started...), and we have an Asian outfit that we dressed her in for the occasion.

We had our friends, Leah, Chris and their daughter, Ave over last night. Willa and Ave were born 2 days apart and have become best buddies. They kept alternating between fighting over toys, chasing the dogs, and giving each other kisses.

Romantic Evening for 3

Happy belated Valentine's Day! We had the most fun Valentine's Day...maybe the best ever! Bryan was supposed to work all day, but was able to sneak home early. We heard a knock at the door around 2:00, and I looked through the peep hole in the door, expecting it to be the FedEx guy...but it was daddy! He came home and surprised us both with beautiful roses (a bouquet for mommy and a single red rose for Willa). 

Willa's first Valentine's Day rose. She kept smelling it and smiling.

We ended up going to a romantic dinner for 3 at a place called "Giggles and Hugs". It is a very cool restaurant that is geared towards families with small children. There is a pretty good menu and an awesome play area for the babies. Willa was in heaven! And honestly, so were we. There needs to be more restaurants with this concept.

This little boy became smitten with Willa. He was following her around for a while and kept holding her hand. 

Towards the end of the night, there was even a dance party. Willa was NOT a happy camper when we had to leave around her bedtime. She kinda threw a tantrum. I think she would have stayed all night if we would have let her. 

Although our Valentine's Days are quite different from what they used to be...this one will be remembered forever. XO

Fun Days

We've been trying to get out of the apartment everyday to go to the park or the ocean...A good way for Willa to get some exercise and blow off some steam. Here are some photos from the past week:

Feeling Better

We have had a rough couple of weeks of the whole family being sick on and off. Willa is just getting over an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. It finally seems like she's getting better and back to her old self!
